Meet Vicci

With over 10 years of teaching experience, I'm passionate about helping people move better, build strength and feel more confident in their bodies.

My background in sports massage led me to Pilates, and over the years I've continued to develop my understanding of movement through yoga and biomechanics. I'm qualified in both Mat and Reformer Pilates and currently doing the BASI Fully Comprehensive training.

What's your favourite bit of Pilates kit?
I love the pole for mat work and the Stability Chair in the studio for its challenge.

Which Pilates exercise do you enjoy  the most?
Anything involving back extension, daily life tips us forward so I enjoy working backwards.

What subject are you currently exploring?
I am always studying biomechanics to better understand how we move.

How do you spend your time away from the studio?
I'll be outdoors— cycling, riding my horse, sea kayaking, or seeking out a new adventure.

What is at the top of your travel list?
Patagonia!

My Philosophy

I believe Pilates should be purposeful, individual and relevant to real life. It’s not about simply performing an exercise, but understanding why you’re doing it and how it can help you move better.

Every body is different, and my aim is to help you develop the strength, control and body awareness to move with greater confidence, both in and out of the studio.

Ultimately, I want Pilates to help you build a body that works for you, whatever life brings.

In Their Words

I really enjoy my weekly Pilates classes with Vicci, which I’ve been doing for about 4 years now. She’s extremely knowledgeable about the biomechanics of the body and is great at pushing us to achieve the best results, whilst still encouraging us to listen to our bodies and simplify movements when it’s needed. The small, friendly groups feel like a safe space to workout without judgement. She keeps the classes interesting with different movements and equipment each week. I’d highly recommend her classes for all abilities.

I've been going to Vicci for 3 years for 1-1 pilates. She really knows her stuff and is always enhancing her knowledge with training and certifications. She's thoughtful and seems to have a sixth sense for figuring out what to focus on - with the right mix of encouragement and challenge! I highly recommend Vicci and her lovely quiet studio. Working on the reformer with the birds singing right outside is such a treat.

The pilates mat classes that Vicci runs are brilliant. I can feel the difference from when I started about a year ago. It's helpful to have the exercises so well explained. The smaller class sizes mean that Vicci can keep an eye on everyone to check we're doing it correctly. She also makes it a fun session that I look forward to each week.
