Booking & Cancellation Policy

Booking & Cancellation Policy

At Stable Bodies, I aim to provide a consistent, supportive and safe Pilates experience. Please take a moment to read the following policy before booking a class or session.

1. Group Mat Pilates Classes

Booking and course structure
Group mat classes are booked as structured courses to support consistency and progression. Classes are not generally available on a drop-in basis.

Places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority booking given to existing clients.

Course dates are organised independently of school term dates. Any changes to dates or schedules will be communicated in advance.

All bookings are arranged by email. Your place is confirmed once full payment has been received.

Payment
Payment for the full course is required before the course begins. Payment can be made by cash or BACS transfer.

Cancellations and missed classes
If you need to cancel your place before a course begins, please contact me as soon as possible. Refunds for cancellations before the start date will be considered on a case-by-case basis, subject to any applicable statutory rights.

Once a course has started, missed classes are non-refundable, including absences due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances.

Where possible, you may be able to attend a catch-up class at another venue during the same course period. This is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. Missed classes cannot be carried forward to a future course, and places cannot be transferred to a friend or family member.

Occasionally, existing clients may be able to book an additional class, subject to availability and payment.

Changes to courses
A minimum number of participants is required for a course to run. If numbers are too low, I reserve the right to cancel or postpone the course. If this happens, you will be offered a refund or credit for the affected course.

In the event of severe weather or circumstances that make travel or use of the venue unsafe, a class may be cancelled or moved online via Zoom. I will notify you as early as possible.

2. Private and Shared Pilates Sessions

Booking and scheduling
Private 1:1 and shared 2:1 Pilates apparatus sessions are offered on a regular weekly or fortnightly basis to support consistency and progression.

Bookings are arranged by email, with regular sessions scheduled in advance. Ad-hoc or irregular bookings are not generally available.

A one-off introductory session may be offered to new clients who would like to experience my teaching before committing to regular sessions.

Payment
Payment is due at or before the session. Payment can be made by cash or BACS transfer. Sessions cannot proceed if payment has not been received.

Cancellations and rescheduling
At least 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session.

Cancellations made with at least 24 hours’ notice may be rescheduled, subject to availability.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, and missed sessions, are charged in full. This policy also applies to absences due to illness.

Shared sessions
If one person is unable to attend a shared session, the other participant may choose to continue alone at the 1:1 rate of £50, subject to availability and agreement in advance. Alternatively, the session may be rescheduled in accordance with the cancellation policy.

3. Health and Safety

Please tell me about any injuries, medical conditions, pregnancy or changes in your health before taking part in Pilates.

All clients must complete a health questionnaire before participating in classes or sessions. For private sessions, this will be reviewed as part of the initial assessment.

Pilates is not a substitute for medical advice, physiotherapy or other medical treatment. I do not diagnose injuries or medical conditions. Group classes may not be suitable for acute injuries or rehabilitation requiring individual, hands-on support.

Please stop exercising immediately if you experience pain, dizziness or unusual discomfort, and let me know.

Please do not attend a class or session if you are unwell with a contagious illness, including a cold, flu or COVID-19. Missed sessions remain subject to the relevant cancellation policy.

4. Class and Studio Etiquette

Please arrive on time so that sessions can start and finish as scheduled.

Tie long hair back.
Bring your own mat and, if you have one, a tennis ball or spiky massage ball.
